Henderson County Finishes 7th at XC Region (w/PHOTOS)

Henderson County finished in seventh place at Saturday’s Class 3A Region 1 Meet at Marshall County High School.

Ian Hancock was the first Colonel across the finish line in 28^th place. He completed the 3.1-mile course in 18:23 to secure the final state qualifying spot. One second back in 29^th place was Ross Plummer.

Christian Smith finished in 40^th place with a time of 18:52, while Isaac Krampe was 43^rd in 19:05.

James Powell was 50^th in 19:41 followed by Nathaniel Gold in 51^st place (19:46), and Isaiah Alvey in 57^th place (20:20).

As a team, Henderson County finished in seventh place with 190 points, 16 points ahead of eighth place Graves County and 22 points behind sixth-place Owensboro.

The top five teams at Saturday’s region meet qualified for the state meet.
