Henderson County Takes 6th Place at Girls XC Region (w/PHOTOS)

The Henderson County Lady Colonel cross country team finished in sixth place at Saturday’s Class 3A Region 1 Meet at Marshall County High School.

Freshman Callie Burnett qualified for the state meet with a seventh-place finish in 20:58 over the 3.1-mile course. She will make her third appearance at the Class 3A state meet this weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

Hazel Erbst finished in 32^nd place for the Lady Colonels with a time of 23:46. Alline Decker came in 39^th place in 25:00, followed by Liaka Wright in 47^th place (27:31), Cadyn Conrad in 49^th place (27:42), Anna Carrier in 50^th place (27:51), and Sophia Wright in 56^th place (32:10).

As a team, Henderson County totaled 151 points to finish 15 points ahead of seventh-place Apollo and 17 points behind fifth-place Muhlenberg County.
