The Hopkins County Central Lady Storm Cross Country team finished in fifth place at Saturday’s Class 2A Region 1 Cross Country Meet.
Seventh grader Piper Knight was the first Storm runner across the finish line in 23rd place with a time of 26:45 seconds. Jenna Fairchild was 27th in 27:58 seconds while Maria Kerby was 31st in 30:02.
Cara Knight finished in 33rd place and Isabelle Butler was 34th for the Lady Storm who totaled 132 points.
Hopkins County Central totaled 132 points and finished 39 points behind fourth place Union County.
