
Mayci Moore’s second-place finish paced the Webster County Lady Trojans at the Class 2A Region 1 cross country meet on Saturday.
The junior was one of three Webster runners to finish in the top 10 at Marshall County High School. Moore completed the 3.1-mile course in 20:12 seconds.
Seventh grader Paisley Stone finished in seventh place in 22:05, and fellow seventh grader Alli Bell was ninth with a time of 22:54.
Seniors Addy Heady (24:48) and Sara Welshans (25:43) finished in 17th and 18th place respectively, and Lily Dunbar was 30th.
As a team Webster County finished in third place with 53 points, seven points behind second-place Hopkinsville. Calloway County won the region meet with 30 points.
Webster County will run at the Class 2A State Meet Saturday in Lexington.
