David Cavanaugh finished inside the top 50 at the Class 2A State Cross Country Meet as a sophomore but injuries derailed his junior season. After a 9th place finish at the region on Saturday, the Trigg County senior is looking ahead to his final race and a shot to surpass his sophomore success at the state meet in Lexington this Saturday.
