
The Hopkinsville cheerleaders brought home a third consecutive top-five finish at the KHSAA region cheer competition on Saturday.
Hoptown’s score of 80.30 in the Game Day Small division was good for fifth place—.20 points out of fourth place and less than three points away from a trip to the state competition.
Cheerleading combines Regions 1 and 2 to determine who advances to the state competition next month at George Rogers Clark High School.
The Game Day Small division requires a minimum of five cheerleaders and a maximum of 19 and is the largest at the region level.
