
The Christian County Colonels won all four quarters as they took on the Todd County Central Rebels Thursday night in a preseason scrimmage at Lyle Dunbar Gym. While the score was reset after each quarter, the Colonels did end up outscoring the Rebels 79 to 48 for the scrimmage.
Christian County scored the first 8 points and took the opening quarter 18-8. The Christian County offense got going in the second quarter, outscoring the Rebels 26-13.
Todd County Central had its best quarter of the night in the third, but still lost the quarter 17-15 to the Colonels. Christian County then outscored the Rebels 18-12 to finish out the varsity portion of the scrimmage.
Christian County ended up with 5 players in double figures led by Josh Bridges and Kam Williams with 16 points each. Darren Bigbee and Rahsean Stevenson added 12 apiece. Tom Johnson also hit double digits with 11.
The Colonels were connecting from outside, knocking down 10 3-pointers over the four quarters.
Todd County Central also did a good job from outside the three-point line, hitting 10 of their own. Mar’Shawn Fletcher was the leading scorer for the Rebels with 15 points. Tay Shemwell added 12. Brett Harris also hit double figures with 11.
