Frontier College has snagged another Caldwell County softball player — this time the Lady Tigers’ all-time home run leader.

CCHS senior Harper Holeman signed on the dotted line Friday afternoon in a ceremony in the high school cafeteria in front of lots of family, friends and teammates.

It’s the third-straight year that a Lady Tiger has chosen to join the Bobcats, with Holeman following former Caldwell teammates A.J. Hollowell and Alicia Stanley to the Fairfield, Illinois, school. Another former Lady Tiger, Emma Staples, also played two seasons at Frontier.

Holeman will add a big bat to the Frontier lineup. She hit .426 last spring at Caldwell with nine home runs and 35 runs batted in as the Lady Tigers went 19-17.

As a sophomore in 2023, Holeman batted .407 with eight long balls and 37 RBIs.

As a freshman, she hit .382 with 11 dingers while driving in 34 runs.

Holeman hit .412 as an eighth grader in 2021 while knocking in 19.

Holeman still has her senior season at Caldwell coming up in the spring. The Lady Tigers figure to challenge in both the 7th District and the 2nd Region and will be a contender in the regional All A Classic as well.

Frontier College is an NJCAA Div. I school.

Holeman is the second 2025 Caldwell senior to sign to play college softball. Brylee Butts signed with the University of Memphis earlier in the week.
