
Hopkins County Central’s girls continued their preparation for the regular season by going 3-1 in scrimmage action at Crittenden County on Saturday.
The Lady Storm suffered its only loss of the day in its first game against the host school. Crittenden led 17-14 at halftime (each contest was played in two halves with a running clock) and went on to claim a 33-30 victory.
Addie Menser led Hopkins Central in that game with 11 points. Kenzleigh Harrison had eight points, Tyah White six and Braylee Marsh five.
Anna Boone led Crittenden with 11 points.
The Lady Storm bounced back to lead Hancock County 21-7 at halftime on the way to a 31-18 triumph.
Calajia Mason had 14 points in the win while Menser added eight. White scored five points. Marlee Thomas and Marsh each had three points while Macy Cotton and Riley Richardson added two points apiece.
Hopkins Central opened its next game with a 10-0 run and went on to handle Caldwell County 34-16.
White topped the Lady Storm scoresheet in that game with 10 points while Mason had nine. Menser scored five points. Richardson and Harrison each had three. Thomas and Marsh had two apiece.
In its final game, Hopkins Central led Union County just 22-20 at halftime. But the Lady Storm went on to capture a 36-26 victory.
White poured in 18 points. Harrison had six while Mason and Menser each scored four. Cotton and Marsh had two points each.
The Lady Storm is scheduled to open the regular season Dec. 7, at home, against Union County.
