After two seasons at the University of Louisville, former Christian County softball standout Pickle Winkler has a new home. In a social media post over the weekend, Winkler announced that she was headed to Southeast Missouri to continue her athletic and educational career.
Winkler had previously announced that she was entering the transfer portal.
During the 2024 season at Louisville, she played in 46 games with two starts in the outfield. She was 5-for-6 in stolen bases. Winkler was also named to the All-ACC Academic Team and Honor Roll.
As a freshman in 2023, she played in 44 games with 19 starts in the outfield. That season, Winkler scored 17 runs, drove in five, and went 3-for-3 in stolen bases. Her big performance was when she went 2-for-3 with two runs in the 6-2 win over Notre Dame.
As a freshman, Winkler was named to the All-ACC Academic Team and ACC Academic Honor Roll.
