George Scores 38 in UHA’s Final Preseason Scrimmage

They may have to replace the nets in Blazer Gym before next week’s season opener against Madisonville-North Hopkins. University Heights Academy junior Tylin George set the nets on fire with a 38-point performance as the Blazers took a 91-79 scrimmage win over the Russellville Panthers in their preseason finale Tuesday night.

The Blazers won the first three quarters before seeing the Panthers hang 31 points on the board in the fourth quarter.

UHA won the first 26-16, the second 22-19, and the third 24-13. Russellville got hot in the fourth quarter and outscored the Blazers 31-19. The Panthers hit five shots from behind the arc in the final eight minutes.

In addition to Tylin George’s 38 points, UHA got 17 points from Elijah Walton and 12 points each from Frank Pollard and Bryson Northington.

The Blazers now get ready to open the season Tuesday night at home against Madisonville-North Hopkins.
