The Hopkins County Central Storm now get ready for the official start of the 2024-2025 season following their final preseason scrimmage Monday evening at St. Mary. The Storm got big games from Davonyae Butcher and Lake Sumner but lost 60-59 on a buzzer-beater.
Butcher finished with 26 points and 5 rebounds to lead the way for Hopkins County Central.
Sumner knocked down four shots from behind the 3-point line and ended up with 20 points, 6 assists, and 6 steals.
Sylas Gunn gave a big effort on the glass with 14 rebounds.
The Storm will officially open the season December 3rd at Muhlenberg County.
