Caldwell County senior Logan Brown is the first Tiger matman to sign to wrestle at Midway University.
Brown held his official signing ceremony Sunday in the Fine Arts buildling at CCHS.
Midway is an NAIA institution located in Woodford County, just 15 minutes from Lexington. The Eagles wrestling program was started in the 2018-19 school year.
Brown said he also considered Kentucky Wesleyan College, the University of the Cumberlands and Campbellsville before deciding on Midway.
The Tiger wrestler said he wanted to stay in-state with his college. He will study Sports Management and Fitness.

Brown is a two-time state medalist at Caldwell, but missed a chance to add to the list last season.
He qualified for state last February but was unable to compete in Lexington because of an injury.
Brown placed seventh at 120 pounds as a sophomore at state two years ago.
As a freshman, Brown finished eighth at state at 106 pounds.
Brown enters his senior season ranked fifth in the state at 126 pounds in the preseason rankings.

Brown has gotten his final season at Caldwell off to a good start.
He was named Most Outstanding Wrestler on Saturday at the Fighting Colonels Classic at Henderson County. That helped the Tigers to a third-place finish in the eight-team tournament.
Brown is the third Tiger wrestler to sign to wrestle collegiately in the last year. Two seniors from last season, Cofy Harris and Cole Sherill, are now freshmen at Kentucky Wesleyan.
