Playing shorthanded in the season-opener Monday night, the Todd County Central Lady Rebels needed someone to step up and help lead the way. Senior Alexis Taylor, one of the top players in the 4th Region did just that.
Taylor got her senior season off to roaring start with 29 points and 15 rebounds and led the way as the Lady Rebels opened the 2024-2025 season with a 63-44 win on the road at McLean County.
Taylor’s effort was extra big considering Todd County Central was missing starting point guard Jordyn Shemwell.
The win was the third straight over the Lady Cougars for the Lady Rebels.
Todd County Central is back on the road Wednesday as the Lady Rebels play Crittenden County in the Marshall County Hoopfest. Tipoff time is set for 6:30pm.
