The Lyon County girls’ basketball team turned a ten-point halftime lead into a blowout on Tuesday at Murray High, outscoring the Lady Tigers 27-0 in the third quarter on the way to a 62-30 victory.

Murray’s Kaydence Kindle was a handful with 12 first-quarter points to keep the Lady Tigers within four, but Lyon County held her to only three points over the next two frames and pulled away behind double-digit scoring nights for Piper Cotham, Trinity Taylor, and Courtney Collins.

Collins scored seven points in the first quarter, and Cotham added seven in the second to help the Lady Lyons to a 31-21 halftime edge.  Taylor erupted in the third with 11 points, and Cotham knocked down a pair of three-pointers to score ten and provide the knockout blow.

Cotham led all scorers with 22, followed by Taylor with 15 and Collins with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Kindle was the lone Lady Tiger in double figures with 21.
