Walker’s 2nd Place Finish Leads Hopkinsville Girls at Coyote Classic

Hopkinsville’s Rheanna Walker was the top finisher for the Lady Tiger wrestling team over the weekend at the 2024 Coyote Classic. Walker finished in 2nd place in the Girls 114g class and scored 19.5 points for the Lady Tiger team.

Walker, who got a bye in the opening round, won by fall over Alex McDonald, of Heritage High School, in 1:56 in the quarterfinals of the championship bracket.

In the semifinal round, Walker won by tech fall over Jemma Kearney, of West Creek High School, 17-1.

In the first place match, Walker would lose by decision to Reagan Patrum, of Riverdale High School, by a score of 7-2.

As a team, the Lady Tigers finished the meet in 6th place with 38.5 points. Cleveland High School won the girls competition with 185 points.
