A 25-point first quarter propelled hosts Livingston Central to a 73-52 victory over Fort Campbell on Friday to give the Cardinals their seventh straight win over the Falcons.
Bryson Walker knocked down a pair of three-pointers on the way to nine first-quarter points, and Logan Wring added a pair of threes to give the Cardinals an 11-point advantage.
Livingston held Fort Campbell to only six points in the second frame and the Cardinals continued to pull away behind seven more points for Wring to take a commanding 41-20 cushion to the locker room.
Tyreek Anthony scored all 12 of his points after the break for the Falcons, but the hole was too deep. Israel Dillard scored six in the third to finish with a game-high 18 and Kayden Pierce knocked down a pair of threes in the fourth, but Fort Campbell couldn’t avoid its second loss to start the season.
Wring finished with 15 for the Cardinals, Walker scored 13, Drew Hosick and Reese Davidson scored 11 each, and Avery Zaim added 10.
Livingston won its opener ahead of a trip to Lyon County on Tuesday. The Cardinals have lost the last 18 in the series with the Lyons dating back to 2018.
Fort Campbell will be back on the road on Saturday looking for its first victory at Fulton City.
