Lady Warriors Fall to Somerset Christian and Highlands Latin at KCAC

The Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors took some small steps forward offensively over the weekend but still dropped a pair of games at the KCAC state tournament. The Lady Warriors fell to Somerset Christian and Highlands Latin in the tournament.

In the game against Somerset Christian, the Lady Warriors fell behind 22-2 after one and lost by a final score of 51-12. HCA ended the game with its best quarter of the young season, putting 8 points on the board.

Lexi Lyon led the Lady Warriors with 6 points in the game.

The Lady Warriors finished their trip with a 48-19 loss to Highlands Latin. A slow start was too much in this one for the Lady Warriors to overcome. They fell behind 21-3 after the opening quarter. HCA did finish the game with its best quarter of the year, putting up 10 points in the fourth.

Ava DeJager scored 12 points to led the Lady Warriors in the game.

HCA (0-3) is back in action Thursday night taking on Dawson Springs in the Toyota Classic at Hopkinsville High School.
