
The Crittenden County Lady Rockets remained unbeaten with a 60-34 win over Trigg County on Tuesday at Wildcat Gym.
Anna Boone scored seven straight points midway through the third quarter as the Lady Rockets turned a nine-point advantage into a 45-21 lead thanks to a 15-0 run.
Trigg County cut the deficit to 15 points by the end of the third quarter but did not make a shot from the field over the final nine minutes as Crittenden pulled away for the 26-point win. The final margin was the largest of the game.
The Lady Rockets put three players in double figures led by Boone’s 19 points. Elliot Evans added 14 points and four rebounds and Bristyn Rushing continued her strong play early with 13 points and seven boards.
Freshman A.J. Navarro led the Lady Wildcats with 10 points while Reese Bush scored 9 and Veyda Grinols scored seven points with a career-high 16 rebounds.
Trigg County out rebounded the Lady Rockets 33-28 but committed 27 turnovers that led to 28 Crittenden points.
Crittenden County also controlled the paint outscoring Trigg 34-20.
The Lady Rockets have won nine straight games over Trigg County and will host Livingston Central for another district contest on Friday.
Trigg County drops to 0-2. They will host Stewart County, Tennessee on Thursday and travel to Hopkins County Central on Friday.
