The Heritage Christian Academy Warriors got a huge night from senior Jason Leek and that night carried the Warriors to their second win of the season. Behind Leek’s 43 points, HCA snuck past Clarksville Christian 52-50.
Jason Leek scored 8 first quarter points as the Warriors took a 10-8 lead after one. He added 12 more in the second quarter as HCA extended the lead to 24-21 at the half.
Leek continued his offensive show in the third quarter, scoring 11 more as Heritage Christian continued to lead 35-33 going into the final eight minutes of the game.
Leek finished out the night with 12 more, including going 7 of 7 at the line as the Warriors held on to take the two-point win.
Leek’s 43 points were one off the school record set by Carlos Robles last year. Jason Fraley scored 42 points in a 2006 game for the Warriors.
In addition to Jason Leek blistering the nets in his home gym to the tune of 43 points, Samuel Thompson added 3 for the Warriors.
Heritage Christian Academy (1-3) will take on Foundation Christian out of Bowling Green on Saturday in the Toyota Holiday Classic at Hopkinsville High School.
