
Jaycie Wright scored 23 points Thursday night as Webster County’s girls continued their winning streak against CaldwellCounty.
Hannah Yates added 16 points as the Lady Trojans turned back the Lady Tigers 50-42 in Dixon. It’s Webster’s 19th straight win against Caldwell going back to February of 2007.
The Lady Tigers (3-3) were within 12-11 after one quarter. But Webster (4-2) got to halftime with a 22-16 edge.
The Lady Trojans extended the margin to 40-28 through three quarters.
Tink Clark led Caldwell with 14 points. Brylee Butts had eight points.
Webster improved its all-time lead against Caldwell to 59-16.
The Lady Tigers will next play in the West Kentucky Hoops Classic in Princeton following Christmas.
The Lady Tigers will face South Panola, Mississippi, next Friday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. Caldwell’s girls then play Carlisle County at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28.
