Struggles on the offensive end were costly for the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers Saturday. The Calloway County Lady Lakers took an early lead and cruised on to a 63-32 win in The Hardwood Classic at the CFSB Center in Murray.
Jaidan Koch and Sayler Lowe helped get the Lady Lakers off to a quick start. The pair combined for 13 first quarter points as Calloway County took an 18-9 lead.
The Calloway County defense limited the Lady Tigers to just three made field goals in the second quarter as the lead grew to 37-15 at the half.
The Lady Lakers used their defense to put the game away in the third quarter, giving up just two Hopkinsville field goals as they extended the lead out to 55-20.
Hopkinsville was led by Lashanti Wilson with 10 points. Alicia Davis finished with 9 points. Lee Lee Love added 4 points and 6 rebounds.
Calloway County got 14 points from both Sayler Lowe and Jaidan Koch. Jaycee Crouch added 12 points for the Lady Lakers.
Hopkinsville (3-4) is now off until January 4 when the Lady Tigers go on the road to take on Grayson County.
