The Lady Storm may not like shooting the ball at ‘elevation.’ For the second straight game, the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm did not hit the forty point mark Saturday afternoon as they fell to Jackson County in the consolation game of the Girls’ Yellow Bracket at the Smoky Mountain Christmas Classic.

The Jackson County Lady Generals held an opponent below 50 points for the fifth time this season as they took a 43-39 win over the Lady Storm. The win was the fourth in the last five games for Jackson County.

Calajia Mason led the Lady Storm with 10 points. Tyah White added 9 points and Addie Menser finished with 8 points and 6 rebounds.

The loss was the second straight for the Lady Storm after a five-game winning streak ended Friday against Lexington Lafayette.

Hopkins County Central falls to 5-4 with the loss. The Lady Storm get back to action right after Christmas as they hit the road to Edmonson County on Thursday to take on Ohio County in the Rafferty’s/Double Dogs Caveland Classic.
