
The Hopkins County Central Lady Storm and Todd County Central Lady Rebels are among the eight teams participating in the Rafferty’s Double Dogs Caveland classic, which begins Thursday at Edmondson County High School.
Hopkins County Central (5-4) will open play at two o’clock against Ohio County (4-3). The Lady Storm dropped two of three games in Gatlinburg over the weekend.
Todd County Central (5-4) will play Marshall County (7-2) at 3:45 at Edmondson County Middle School in the same bracket. The Lady Rebels have alternated wins and losses over their past five games.
Marshall County is 7-2 and hasn’t lost to a Kentucky school this year. Thursday’s matchup is the first between the schools in five years and the first of three on the schedule this year.
The bottom bracket has Paducah Tilghman (3-4) playing Edmonson County (2-6) and John Hardin (7-3) facing Muhlenberg County (1-7).
The tournament continues on Friday with the championship set for Saturday at two o’clock.
