The Lyon County Lyons will look to defend its title this weekend at the White, Greer, and Maggard Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic High School.
The Lyons (5-0) will play the host Lexington Catholic (5-2) Friday night at 6 o’clock in a rematch of last year’s championship game won by the Lyons 83-63.
Two years ago, Lyon County won three of four at the event with their only loss coming to Lexington Catholic.
If Lyon County wins Friday, they will play the winner of Boyd County (4-5) and Bryan Station (7-1) Saturday night at 7.30.
In the upper bracket, Newport (5-5) will play DuPont Manual (9-1) and North Laurel (7-2) will face Butler County (5-4).
One other Western Kentucky team in the event—Calloway County (9-0)—will play Louisville Trinity (4-5) on Friday at 9 o’clock.
