
Jeremy Chatman tallied 30 points and eight rebounds to lead Shades Valley (Alabama) past South Panola (Mississippi) 69-46 Friday afternoon in the annual West Kentucky Hoops Classic in Princeton.
Chatman, a junior guard, was 10 of 14 from the field for the Mounties, who are now 8-5.
Shades Valley ran out to a 27-10 lead after one quarter and held a 38-21 margin at halftime.
Shades Valley went up by as much as 32 points in the second half.
Israel May added 12 points for the Mounties.

The South Panola Tigers (4-12) got 18 points and 15 rebounds from Cameren Griffin and another 18 points from Dematric Houston.
The teams will continue their stay in western Kentucky on Saturday.
Shades Valley will play host Caldwell County at 6:30 p.m. in the Hoops Classic while South Panola meets Crittenden County at 12:30 p.m.
