North Hardin Closes Strong to Roll Past Dawson Springs

After trailing at the half, the Dawson Springs Panthers made a run at North Hardin in the third quarter only to see the Trojans pull away to an 80-58 win in the Panthers’ first game in the Swauger Classic at Bellevue High School.

Dawson Springs was down 36-27 at the break and made a third quarter move to get back in the game The Panthers would close to within 40-38 late in the third quarter before the bottom fell out.

The Trojans outscored the Panthers 14 to 2 over the rest of the quarter to push the lead out to 54-40 heading into the fourth. North Hardin then put up 26 points to put the game away for good in the fourth quarter.

Dawson Springs got 29 points and 10 rebounds from Rex Blue. Montgomery Johnston added 19 points.

North Hardin was led by Durrell Loggins with 19 points. Tyree John and Jaydin Vornberger added 13 points each.

Dawson Springs drops to 5-5 with the loss. The Panthers will close out their stay in Northern Kentucky Saturday evening with a game against Ludlow.
