Caldwell’s Girls Have 2 Place 3rd at Battle for Independence

The Caldwell County Lady Tiger wrestling team placed sixth out of 21 teams Saturday in the Battle for Independence at Independence High School in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee, just south of Nashville.

The Lady Tigers had two wrestlers placed third in their weight classes — Sophie Parrish at 100 pounds and Kamyra Dickey at 107.

Two others finished fourth — Jessie Jenkins at 126 and Virginia Stewart at 235.

Keirli Herran was fifth at 145 while Lexi Gobin was sixth at 138.

Alyvia Barnwell placed seventh at 114 pounds and Emilee Klidzejs was seventh at 120.

Aniyaree Wilson was eighth at 120, Anna Urbanowski took eighth at 152 an Hailey Scott was eighth at 165.

With 77.5 points, Caldwell was just one point behind Clarksville Rossview in fifth place.

Clarksville High won the event with 145.5 points. Clarksville Northwest was runner-up with 103.5 while Fort Campbell was third at 83 and Summit was fourth with 81 points.
