
A baseball player from Heritage Christian Academy was one of three players in the state to take part in a national showcase for underclass baseball players. HCA sophomore Ethan Miles was one of 522 players in attendance at the Perfect Game National Underclass Showcase from December 28 through December 30.
The event took place at JetBlue Park, in Fort Myers.
During his stay at the showcase, Miles pitched three innings, allowing no hits, striking out five, and walking none. His top pitch speed was registered at 80 miles per hour.
As a freshman last season at Heritage Christian, Miles was 2-3 with a 5.73 ERA. He struck out 60 and walked 29 in 33 innings of work.
