
Caldwell County junior KeDarriah Thompson had a double-double Friday night as the Lady Tigers rolled past Dawson Springs in 7th District basketball in Princeton.
Thompson had 13 points and 11 rebounds to help Caldwell take control of the contest early on the way to a 67-16 triumph at the CAB gym.
The Lady Tigers scored the first eight points of the night and led 19-2 after 8 minutes.
Caldwell (5-5 overall, 1-0 district) had a 21-0 run during the second period while building a 43-7 halftime advantage.
That led to the running-clock mercy rule for the second half as the Lady Tigers took the 101st meeting between the schools all-time.
Caldwell now holds a 91-10 lead in the series and has taken 29 of the last 30 get-togethers.
Tink Clark and Brylee Butts each added 11 points for the Lady Tigers.
Dawson (3-4, 0-2) got four points each from Baylee Swatzell and Alyssa Allison.
The Lady Panthers will play again Saturday with a trip to Christian Fellowship School.
Caldwell is scheduled to go to Fort Campbell on Monday in a first round game in the 2nd Region All A Classic.
