
Fort Campbell’s swimmers took eighth place at the Best of the West Invitational at Bowling Green High School on Saturday.
Jonah Weisbrich continued his mastery in the 100-yard breaststroke, winning the event in 1:04.73. He was also 15th in the 100-yard free (55.05).
John Stultz was sixth in the 200-yard free (2:02.49) and ninth in the 100-yard fly (1:00.53).
Luke Szody had season-best times in the 100-yard back (9th in 1:06.41) and 50-yard free (25.35).
Thomas Griffin was 12th in the 200-yard IM (2:36.36) and 17th in the 500-yard free (6:04.16).
Samuel MacNab was 19th in the 500-yard free in 6:14.69 – an 18-second improvement over his previous best time. He was also 20th in the 200-yard free in 2:20.71.
Branson Bussy finished 20th in the 50-yard free with a season-best time of 27.04 and was 23rd in the 100-yard free (1:01.44).
The 200-yard medley relay team of Thomas Griffin, Jonah Weisbrich, John Stultz, and Luke Szody finished in fourth place at 1:50.32. The same group finished sixth in the 400-yard free relay in 3:49.55.
The Falcons totaled 117 points to finish three points behind seventh-place Daviess County and 10 points ahead of ninth-place Allen County-Scottsville. Bowling Green won with 385 points.
