Fort Campbell Swimmers Finish in 8th Place at Best of the West

Fort Campbell’s swimmers took eighth place at the Best of the West Invitational at Bowling Green High School on Saturday.

Jonah Weisbrich continued his mastery in the 100-yard breaststroke, winning the event in 1:04.73. He was also 15^th in the 100-yard free (55.05).

John Stultz was sixth in the 200-yard free (2:02.49) and ninth in the 100-yard fly (1:00.53).

Luke Szody had season-best times in the 100-yard back (9^th in 1:06.41) and 50-yard free (25.35).

Thomas Griffin was 12^th in the 200-yard IM (2:36.36) and 17^th in the 500-yard free (6:04.16).

Samuel MacNab was 19^th in the 500-yard free in 6:14.69 – an 18-second improvement over his previous best time. He was also 20^th in the 200-yard free in 2:20.71.

Branson Bussy finished 20^th in the 50-yard free with a season-best time of 27.04 and was 23^rd in the 100-yard free (1:01.44).

The 200-yard medley relay team of Thomas Griffin, Jonah Weisbrich, John Stultz, and Luke Szody finished in fourth place at 1:50.32. The same group finished sixth in the 400-yard free relay in 3:49.55.

The Falcons totaled 117 points to finish three points behind seventh-place Daviess County and 10 points ahead of ninth-place Allen County-Scottsville. Bowling Green won with 385 points.
