
The Madisonville-North Hopkins girls’ basketball team made it three wins in its last four outings with a 64-60 victory over visiting Ohio County on Friday night.
The Lady Maroons’ sixth-straight win over the Lady Eagles helped them improve to 9-6 ahead of a 7th-district matchup with Hopkins County Central on Monday. The Lady Storm, undefeated in district play, earned a 22-point victory in the teams’ first meeting this season.
Ohio County lost its second in a row to slip to 8-8. The Lady Eagles will face another 2nd-region team on Saturday when they play Trigg County at the Farmers Band & Trust Lady Mustang Classic at Muhlenberg County.
