Balanced Effort Helps Lady Storm Cruise Past Fort Campbell

Thirteen players got on the scoresheet and Calajia Mason led the way with 17 points to push the Hopkins County Central girls’ basketball team to a 92-19 victory on Tuesday over visiting Fort Campbell.

The Lady Storm got started on their third win in four outings with 11 first-quarter points from Addie Menser and 10 for Mason to lead 35-0 after the opening frame.

Bri Dulin led the way with eight points in the second and Hopkins Central eased into halftime with a 53-8 advantage.

Menser finished with 13, Dulin had 11, and Rhyan Beverly scored seven in the fourth to finish with 10.

Hopkins Central improved to 10-7 ahead of a visit from 7th-District rivals Caldwell County on Friday.

Fort Campbell slipped to 3-7 with a trip to Butler County scheduled for Thursday.
