The Fort Campbell Falcons ran into a train rolling at full speed Thursday night. The Falcons were held to single digits in each quarter and Charleston scored all the points they would need in teh second quarter as the Falcons fell 81-27 in their second game of the Superman Classic in Metropolis.
Charleston took the early 17-8 lead after one quarter and then settled the matter in the second. Charleston held the Falcons to just two field goals in the second while the offense put up 32 points on the board to blow the lead out to 49-12 at the half.
With the running clock in play to start the second half, things finished fairly quickly from that point.
Charleson led 55-18 after three and then rode it the rest of the way out to take the 54-point win.
Tyreek Anthony and Israel Dillard scored 7 points each to lead the Falcons. Jamile Wilson added 6 points.
Charleston was led by Deshawn Henderson with 15 points. Da’Kyrious Williams was right behind with 14 points.
The Falcons drop to 1-15 with their 13th straight loss. Fort Campbell will play in the 7th place game of the Superman Classic Saturday as they take on Century High School.
