The Dawson Springs Panthers made it back-to-back wins Friday night. Three players scored in double figures as the Panthers rolled past Community Christian 79-56 in Dawson Springs.
Led by Deacon Dever and Rex Blue, the Panthers got off to a good start and took a 22-14 lead after the opening quarter.
Montgomery Johnston and Jaydon Plunkette got revved up in the second quarter as Dawson Springs extended the lead to 40-26.
The Panthers then put the game away in the third quarter as they blew the lead out to 67-39. Community Christian simply had no answer for the combination of Rex Blue and Montgomery Johnston in the quarter.
Dawson Springs then put it on cruise control to take the final 23-point win.
Montgomery Johnston finished with 22 points. Rex Blue had 19 points and picked up his 1,000th career rebound. Deacon Dever also hit double figures with 13.
Bradon DeJarnatt was the leading scorer for Community Christian with 19 points. Ahmed Dee added 17 points.
Dawson Springs (10-9) will host Madisonville-North Hopkins Tuesday night.
