
A tough Friday night at home for the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons. The Maroons gave up their highest point total since 2025 got underway as they fell to Muhlenberg County 80-65.
The win for the Mustangs was the first over the Maroons since February 4, 2021 when Muhlenberg County won 68-47.
The loss was just the second for the Maroons to a team from Western Kentucky. The other came December 28 when they lost to the Grayson County Cougars.
The Maroons drop to 10-7 for the season.
They now get ready for back-to-back district games on Monday night at home against Caldwell County and then on the road Tuesday at Dawson Springs.
