
The Fort Campbell Swim team brought home a third-place finish at the Region One Championship on Saturday at Hopkinsville’s Rick Cohn Aquatic Center.
The Falcons qualified three individuals and a relay team for the state first round at Bowling Green on February 8.
The top two finishers in each event automatically qualify for the state first round with the next ten times in the event from Regions 1-3 also qualifying.
John Stultz was second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:56.84, getting out-touched at the finish by Murray’s Colden Cochran in less than a second. He also finished in third place in the 100-yard fly in 58.34 seconds.
Jonah Weisbrich was second in the 200-yard IM in 2:10.30 and second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:01.38.
Samuel MacNab was second in the 500-yard freestyle in 6:14.43.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Thomas Griffin, John Stultz, Jonah Weisbrich, and Luke Szody came in second place in 1:48.19. They were also second in the 400-yard free relay in 3:39.30.
Luke Szody was fifth in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.29 seconds and fifth in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:06.20.
Samuel MacNab was sixth in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:18.78.
Thomas Griffin was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:04.88 and was seventh in the 100-yard freestyle in 57.30.
Branson Bussey was fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:14.03 and was eighth in the 100-yard freestyle in 57.93.
As a team, Fort Campbell finished in third place with 245 points. Murray won the region title with 406 points. Henderson County was second with 301 points.
