
Christian County finished in eighth place Saturday at the Region One Swim Championships at the Rick Cohn Aquatic Center.
The Lady Colonels scored 80 points, which was 11 points behind seventh-place McCracken County. Their score was a 63-point improvement from last year’s ninth-place finish.
Murray repeated as region champions with 422 points followed by Fort Campbell (261), Henderson County (235), and Madisonville (228).
Addison Peck was 10th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:14.92 and 10th in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:27.43.
Sarah Kate Gilliam was 10th in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:45.56 and 10th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:13.93.
Kara Johnson was 13th in the 200-yard freestyle in 3:05.10 and 23rd in the 50-yard freestyle in 39.24.

Addison Renshaw was 13th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:15.34 and was 16th in the 50-yard freestyle in 34.48.
Kaydence Harrison was 15th in the 200-yard freestyle in 3:10.18 and 19th in the 50-yard freestyle in 36.62.
Alyssa Mase was 22nd in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:43.76 and was 25th in the 50-yard freestyle in 46.74.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Sarah Kate Gilliam, Kaydence Harrison, Addison Peck, and Addison Renshaw came in fifth place in 2:17.60.
The top two finishers in each event automatically qualify for the state first round on Feb. 8 at Bowling Green High School. The next ten times in the event from Regions 1-3 will also qualify
