
The Hopkins County Central girls’ swim team came in sixth place at the Region One Championship on Saturday at the Rick Cohn Aquatic Center.
Isabella Gunn was 11th in the 50-yard freestyle in 31.54 and 11th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:14.01.
NyaJade Ribay was 14th in the 200-yard freestyle in 3:08.61 and 18th in the 50-yard freestyle in 36.19.
Emma Frazier was ninth in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:25 and was 18th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:21.75.
Reese Richey was 19th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:25.42 and was 21st in the 50-yard freestyle in 37.45.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Isabella Gunn, NyaJade Ribay, Emma Frazier, and Reese Richey came in sixth place in 2:50.57. The same group finished in seventh place in the 200-yard free relay in 2:24.22.
Hopkins Central scored 74 points to finish in sixth place – nine points more than seventh place Christian County.
Murray repeated as region champions with 422 points followed by Fort Campbell (261), Henderson County (235), and Madisonville (228).
