Both Hopkins County Central and Graves County entered Monday night’s action on three-game losing skids with one of them guaranteed to put an end to their slide. Turns out it was the Eagles who stopped their streak and extended the Storm’s.
Graves County surpassed the 80-point mark for the 4th time this season on the way to an 83-72 win over Hopkins County Central in the Eagle’s Nest.
The game marked the second straight big offensive output for the Eagles. They put up 88 points in a one-point loss to Lyon County January 20.
For the Storm, 2025 has not been kind. Central has now lost four straight and six of the last seven. The one win so far in 2025 was an 83-58 road win at Heritage Christian Academy.
Hopkins County Central (7-10) is back on the road Tuesday night for a 2nd Region battle at Webster County.
