
Caldwell County hit its high water mark for points scored this season with an 86-41 victory at Crittenden County Tuesday night.
The Tigers scored the first seven points of the game and led 29-10 after just 8 minutes.
By halftime, the Tigers led 55-20, reaching the 35-point difference for a running clock in the second half.
Caldwell (13-8) held a 71-32 advantage through three quarters.
It’s the most points for Caldwell since an 87-78 victory over University Heights on Jan. 14, 2022.
Meanwhile, Crittenden remains winless on the season at 0-18.
Caldwell big man Jaydarius Wilson sat out the contest for precautionary reasons after almost netting a triple-double in the Tigers’ loss at Madisonville-North Hopkins on Monday.
Pax Aikins led Caldwell with 16 points while Kam Wilson had 14, with 12 different Tigers getting into the scoring column. Cade Rowland and Daelyn Lander each had nine points. Ari Wells had eight points and nine rebounds.
Emmitt Ellington had 10 points to lead the Rockets.
The Tigers have taken their last four meetings with the Rockets and 10 of the last 11 matchups.
The Tigers hold a 102-46 lead in the all-time series.
Caldwell is 7-3 in its last 10 games this season.
The Tigers will play again on Friday when Caldwell hosts Trigg County for a special girls and boys doubleheader that will be played at Butler Gym.
