Lemons Mill Brewery in Harrodsburg will have a pig roast and music Saturday for fans who want to watch the Arkansas-Kentucky game.
If you are looking for a different way to enjoy Saturday’s Kentucky-Arkansas matchup when John Calipari makes his return to Rupp Arena, here’s an option for you.
Lemons Mill Brewery in Harrodsburg (166 Marimon Ave.) is having its own GameDay event.
The brewery which specializes in craft beer will have “Skinny Mulligan and Friends” providing the live music inside from 6-8:30 p.m. Lemons Mill has also teamed up with Dunn’s BBQ for an on-site pig roast with food special. If you have never had Dunn’s, you don’t know what you are missing.
“We wanted to ‘piggyback’ on coach Cal’s return to Rupp Arena and decided to roast a pig in honor of the Cats playing Arkansas,” Jay Anderson said. “With the game not starting until 9, we wanted to have music before the game and ‘Skinny Mulligan and Friends’ is a great country/bluegrass group.
“We hope fans will come and cheer on the Cats. You can get a meal, have a drink or two and just have a good time watching the game.”
Dunn’s will be roasting the pig all day so Anderson said fans can come earlier to eat and get a drink if they want.
“We know some people may prefer to watch the game at home where they can scream and yell in the privacy of their home,” Anderson said. “But we will have the game on TV. That’s why the music will stop at 8:30.
“We have 24 taps (of beer) and 14 are ours. We also have Gravely Brewing’s Kentucky Blue Light which is the official beer of Club Blue and supports Kentucky NIL. So if you want you can watch the game, drink a beer and support the Cats all at the same time.”
