Murray Defeats Lady Wildcats For Second Time This Season

Trigg County’s Saturday woes continued as Murray defeated the Lady Wildcats 42-27 at Taylor Gymnasium.

The loss dropped the Lady Wildcats to 4-15 overall and 1-4 in Saturday afternoon games this season.

Trigg scored in single digits in the first three quarters and trailed 29-9 at halftime.

Sophomore Kaydence Kindle scored 12 of her 16 points as part of a 20-5 second-quarter Murray run that broke open the contest.

Trigg County scored 14 points through three quarters – all by Reese Bush. She finished with a game-high 17 points.

Veyda Grinols and Cali Jones each scored five points as only three Lady Wildcats found the scoring column.

The win was Murray’s second over the Lady Wildcats this season and improved their record to 10-5 all-time against Trigg.

Trigg County will look to snap a three-game losing streak on Monday when they host Apollo in the first-ever meeting between the schools.
