
The Trigg County Lady Wildcats snapped a three-game losing streak on Monday, defeating Apollo 54-30 in the first-ever meeting between the schools.
Trigg County opened the second half with a 23-3 run that turned a seven-point halftime lead into a 48-20 lead heading into the final quarter.
Cali Jones scored six of her 14 points in the third quarter, and Reese Bush scored nine of her game-high 19 points in the same frame.
They were joined in double figures by Veyda Grinols who scored 11 points and pulled down six rebounds.
Trigg County scored a season-high 27 points off 27 Apollo turnovers while committing just 13 turnovers themselves.
The Lady Wildcats return to the court on Thursday at Muhlenberg County and will play at Heritage Christian Academy on Saturday.
