Heritage Christian Rolls To 87-45 Home Win

Heritage Christian Academy set a new scoring standard on Saturday, defeating PACHEK, the Pennyroyal Area Christian Home Educators of Kentucky, a team of area homeschooled students, 87-45 at Warrior Gym.

The scoring output of the Warriors is their highest since moving to the KHSAA four years ago.

Jason Leek scored 23 of his game-high 36 points in the first half as the Warriors jumped out to a 21-7 lead and built a 42-34 lead at intermission.

Leek came into the game as the state’s top scorer and met his average in the contest. The senior guard, who visited Alice Lloyd College on Friday, added 10 assists and seven rebounds.

Nathan Wheatcraft and Cooper Kirkman each scored 10 points with Kirkman notching a double-double with 10 rebounds.

Heritage Christian hit 50% from the field (33/66) and was 9-of-28 behind the arc.

Russ Gilkey and Jayden Battle each scored 13 points for PACHEK.

Heritage Christian Academy returns to the court Monday against Fort Campbell.
