It didn’t take former Caldwell County Tiger Tate VanHooser long to get his first home run of the season for Kentucky Wesleyan College.
VanHooser had a solo homer in the eighth inning of the season opener Friday night at Augusta (Georgia).
VanHooser was 2-for-4 in that game and went 4-for-14 over the weekend as the Panthers swept three games at Augusta.
VanHooser, Caldwell’s all-time home run leader, is a senior at KWC.
