Athletic teams across the area are exceptional on the court, or on the field, and off. Be it on the ‘field of competition’ or out in their community, there are many outstanding young athletes and teams all across the area.
Those are the teams that are at the top of the list, or an ‘A-Team’ so to say. In this case, the Chick-fil-A ‘A-Team’. Teams that exhibit great core values like accountability, growth, respect to others, quality, and service.
This time, we would like to recognize a team for their exceptional performance in competition. The Hopkins County Central High Voltage Dance Team recently competed in the UDA National championships. The team placed 1st in Pom and 2nd in Hip Hop at this national competition.
Universal Dance Association was founded in 1980 as Universal Dance Camps. It was started as a need for educational training for what were then “drill teams,” until UDA coined the phrase “dance teams” to better promote the activity.
The Hopkins County Central High Voltage Dance Team is certainly a great example of a Chick-fil-A ‘A-Team.’

Thank you so much for recognizing such a wonderful team of girls. They are kind, caring, the hardest working girls. They not only work extremely hard to be successful but they have to financially raise a lot of money to be able to compete. They have a great support team of parents, grandparent and coaches. They give up so many things to be on the team. They choose to do this.
