Fort Knox Uses the Team Approach to Get Past Falcons

The Fort Knox Eagles survived big games from Fort Campbell’s Israel Dillard and Tyreek Anthony to pick up their third straight win Saturday. Fort Knox used the team approach, with ten different players scoring, while allowing just two field goals to players other than Dillard and Anthony on their way to a 63-51 win at Fort Knox.

The win also kept the Eagles a perfect 3-0 in the all-time series against the Falcons.

The Eagles took the early lead in the game, going up 12-9 after the opening quarter.

Israel Dillard and Tyreek Anthony combined to score 14 points in the second as the Falcons took a 23-22 lead into the break.

Fort Knox took control of the game in the third quarter when the Eagle defense allowed Fort Campbell just 8 points, all from Dillard. The Eagles headed into the fourth quarter holding a 42-31 lead.

Dillard and Anthony heated up in the fourth quarter and scored a combined 18 points, but Fort Knox was able to hold off any comeback effort to take the 12-point win.

Israel Dillard led Fort Campbell with 27 points. Tyreek Anthony finished with 20.

Fort Knox got 23 points from Derron McNalty. Trysten Jackson was the other Eagle in double figures with 18.

Fort Campbell (3-22) is scheduled to go to Logan County Monday night.
