Daniel’s 24 Lead Christian County Past Lady Tigers

The Christian County Lady Colonels got the final week of the regular season off to a big start. Christian County got 24 points from Lazarie Daniel and rolled to a 75-52 Senior Night win over the Caldwell County Lady Tigers in Lyle Dunbar Gym.

NeVaeh Day got the Lady Colonels off to a good start on the night. Day scored 11 points in the opening quarter as Christian County took a 16-11 lead.

Lazarie Daniel then got going in the second quarter. Daniel, who recently committed to Oakland City University, put up 10 points in the quarter as Christian County extended the lead to 39-25. Amari Northington knocked down a pair of threes to give Christian County a boost from the outside.

Tink Clark and Morgan Aikins helped to keep the Lady Tigers within shouting distance by scoring 7 points each in the half.

Daniel stayed hot in the third quarter, scoring 10 more points as Christian County pushed the lead out to 20 points at 57-37.

The Lady Colonels were then able to ride out the game to take the 23-point win.

In addition to Lazarie Daniel’s 24 points, NeVaeh Day scored 19 points. Amari Northington added 12.

 

Tink Clark led Caldwell County with 16 points. Med Thomas was in double figures with 13. Morgan Aikins just missed double digits with 9.

Christian County (16-9) is scheduled to close out the regular season Thursday night on the road at Logan County.

Caldwell County (10-15) is set to end its regular season schedule on the road Friday at Livingston Central.
