The Hopkins County Central Lady Storm defeated the Union County Bravettes 57-50 on Tuesday night.
Addie Menser’s 10-point first quarter helped the Lady Storm establish a 12-7 lead.
Union County rallied in the second, outscoring Hopkins County Central 15-6 to take a 22-18 halftime advantage.
The Lady Storm regained their momentum in the third, scoring 18 points to lead 37-36 entering the fourth. A back-and-forth final quarter saw Hopkins County Central pull away, outscoring Union County 21-13 for the victory.
Addie Menser led all scorers for Hopkins County Central with 27 points, while Calajia Mason added 12. Paige Steward scored 15 for Union County.
The win improves Hopkins County Central’s record to 16-13, and they will face Muhlenberg County on Thursday night.
